Scheduling the meeting requires you to determine a specific schedule time and place. You may enter a manual time as well, though you can choose any time from this list. You may enter just 15 minutes. Zone: The time zone settings default to your Zoom computer. Zoom meetings can stretch over the set time if they are scheduled within a specific number of minutes.
As soon as you create a meeting, you can choose the duration of it. Your meeting may still be running well beyond its intended length of time if you continue it afterward. As long as is necessary, continue the meeting.
Meetings can either be started automatically at the start time in the calendar or halt automatically during the end time in the calendar. Using this option, participants can show up as soon as the meeting starts, or maybe even as soon as the host leaves if you want participants to join at that time. Even if you choose off, the participants will have the option to start their video. Audio Options: choose whether to allow users to call in via Telephone Only or Computer audio or both.
Require Meeting Password: You can select and input your meeting password here. Joining participants will be required to input this before joining your scheduled meeting.
Advanced Options : Click on the arrow to view additional meeting options. Enable join before host: Allow participants to join the meeting without you or before you join. The meeting will end after minutes for Basic free users if 3 or more people join the meeting. Mute Participants Upon Entry : If join before host is not enabled, this will mute all participants as they join the meeting. If not selected, a random unique meeting ID will be generated. Calendar: Add to any selected calendar and send out invites to participants. You’ll also have the option to schedule it as a recurring meeting. Edit all of the details and when you’re done, scroll to the bottom and click the Save button.
On the next page, you have the option to add the meeting to your Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, or Yahoo Calendar. Or, you can copy the invitation link and share it with your guests. Open the Zoom desktop app on your computer and sign in, if you’re not already. On the Home tab , click the Schedule button.
Choose your Video , Calendar , and Security settings. In the Advanced Options section, you can choose additional settings, like muting participants as soon as they enter the meeting. Click the blue Save button when you’re done. Your scheduled meetings will appear on the right side of the Home tab. You can also view your scheduled meetings in the Meetings tab of the app.
Enter the meeting name and set the date and time. Tap Save in the top-right corner when you’re done. Zoom will automatically open an email to share your meeting invitation. Enter in the email addresses of people you want to invite, then click the up arrow to send.
Another way to share the meeting invitation is to go to the Meetings tab and select the meeting you’ve just scheduled. Topic: By default, Zoom will set the topic as [Your Name]’s Zoom Meeting, but you can change it to more accurately describe what will be discussed. Is it a catchup between friends? A weekly progress meeting with your team? Choose something descriptive so that coordinating calendar reminders will let attendees know the general subject of the meeting at a glance.
